Musical Mondays is an innovative program of
music classes for young children in the Greater Boston, Massachusetts area. Led by music teacher, Marilyn Abel,
M. Ed., the classes offer an informal introduction to basic musical concepts, utilizing songs, rhythm instruments,
creative movement, and puppets in a relaxed and nurturing environment. Conveniently located at the Munroe Center
for the Arts near Lexington's historic center, Musical Mondays is easily accessible for anyone living in the surrounding
northwest Boston communities (Arlington, Bedford, Belmont, Burlington, Concord, Lincoln, Waltham, Winchester, and Woburn).
Children are accepted throughout the season, depending on availability of space.
About Marilyn Abel
Ms. Abel is a well-known early childhood music
educator in the Lexington, Massachusetts community. She has a Masters degree in Education from Lesley College (now Lesley
University) in Cambrige, Massachusetts. She started Musical Mondays over 16 years ago and has been teaching these popular
classes ever since. Over the years, her creative and gentle teaching style have earned her the affection of her
students and accolades from many appreciative parents.
